Randy and Kyle invited me to join them for the 2009 SciPy Conference at Caltech. SciPy is a Python-based scientific and numerical computing package used by many. Some of SciPy's tools are quite useful in the development and use of Pyclaw.
In fact, Kyle will be giving a talk about Pyclaw on Friday afternoon. You can view his abstract here.
In addition to the talks, I'm looking forward to attending the advanced tutorials and the coding sprints on the weekend. It should prove to be a great opportunity to get an update on the Python community's progress, network with other developers, and make some excellent progress on the development of Clawpack and Pyclaw.
Important Announcement:
If anyone out there reading this blog lives near Caltech or knows someone who lives near Caltech and is willing to house Kyle and I from August 17-23 then please let me know! We would greatly appreciate it!
